In The Calm Before The Storm

These little ones are fueling up............

We are expecting about 18" of snow this afternoon.  Can't blame these little ones for getting a hearty breakfast while they have the chance.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Stay safe wherever you are.

  1. Sweet video, Carol! Thanks so much for sharing! We are getting snow today as well here in Montreal, and it is already snowing at 10:00 a.m. I prefer the snow to freezing rain, and we got freezing rain on Monday. :( Happy New Year to you! :)

    1. Hi Linda, I just turned around and looked out the window........wow, the street is covered. Here it comes! Stay safe. I'm with you, rather have snow than freezing rain any day.
Happy New Year to you also.

  2. I've been watching the weather radar since yesterday. A few flakes now and then here in a lower Vermont elevation. I suspect as soon as I log off, get the boots and coat on to go do errands, it will snow. lol

Your lovely bird video is a reminder to get things done.

    2. Carol,
Wow! I just looked out the window here after reading your post.
It is snowing! The ground is covered already with a hefty half inch in a medium flake steady snowfall.

      Happy New Year!

    1. Thank you Helen, I wish you a very Happy New Year too. The snow has arrived and is building up quickly. Thank God I don't have to be out in this. My hubby drives a city transit bus and is dealing with this right now and then will have to deal with it on his commute home around 6 p.m. I am always praying for Angels to surround him.

    1. Thank you Meera. It sure is a pretty sight with these big snowflakes. Unfortunately my hubby is out working in this and my grandson has to leave the house in about an hour to go to work in the city. I always pray for Angels to be with them and keep them safe.

      Happy New Year my friend!

    1. Hi Hilda, hubby got home safe. He's a bus driver and had to drive all day in this mess. My grandson called out tonight because he would have been driving into work in this mess and coming home at it's worst time (1:30 am). I hate him working the night shift but it's what he wants to do. Yes, it can be so pretty and yet so dangerous. I'm hoping to get some pictures tomorrow. Enjoy the snow when you get yours and have a wonderful New Year too.
