Work In Progress - Jenny In The Garden (gift for my neighbor Jenny)

With Christmas fast approaching, I figured I should start on my neighbor's gift for this year. Remembering that I had snapped a few pictures of her out in her garden, along the edge of the road, gave me an idea.  Why don't I paint her in her favorite place to be?

Here are a few progress pictures of "Jenny In The Garden"........

To Be Continued...............

I am using Alkyd oils on MDF board primed with Gesso.

Thanks for visiting me today.

Sunday Visitor

Since the Phoebe family has moved on I guess this fellow gets all my attention right now.  I just might have to name him.......................maybe I'll call him "Claude", after all he is pretty well-clawed.

Have a blessed day!

Fledging

Today was the day that the 5 Phoebe chicks said goodbye to their nest and sought greener places.  Here are 4 of them that made it into the bushes for the night.  I cannot see the 5th but he is there, not far from his siblings, I am sure.

the last to go
sitting not too far from 3 others

Now I have empty nest syndrome, for sure.
Be safe and sleep well little Phoebes.

Thanks for sharing this adventure with me over the passed few weeks.

Guess Who's Coming To Dinner

Please be patient, videos are sometimes slow to load.  The sound you hear is from the movie "Apollo 13" that my hubby was watching in the other room.  I didn't realize it was that loud because I didn't even notice it while videoing the critter.

I tried to figure out who this fellow was and think he's a Yellow-bellied Marmot.  Any ideas of your own?  I just thought he was so cute.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a beautiful day.

3 Little Maids

As I went out to post a letter I noticed three mushrooms along the edge of the driveway and began singing "Three Little Maids From School" from the Mikado.  Such a lively tune and a great way to start the day.  I hope you enjoy the clip from YouTube I've included.

I hope your day is lively and fun.
