Snowstorm March 13-14, 2018 Western Maine USA

Just a short video around my yard to show what we've just got during this 24 hr. snowstorm.  The air smells so fresh.

Hope you are having a wonderful day.  Thanks for stopping by.   Wanna have a snowball fight?????

    1. Good day M.K. The snow sure was pretty and not the sides of the road are dirty-looking again and the street is like a beach with all that sand. Spring is just around the corner but yet no where in sight. Hmmmm! I wish you a beautiful day.

    1. Ohhh, I remember that debate about the height of the snow; people would say I remember when the snow was this high on me (pointing to their shoulders) when I was in school. Then they get reminded yes they were in grammar school and very, very short back then. What was up to your shoulders is now up to your hips. LOL We often lose perspective of how things really are. Where did you live as a child where there was a lot of snow? I grew up in Massachusetts where they get just about as much as we do but their's melts more than ours so it doesn't build up and stick around until May. Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by.

  3. For some reason it wouldn't play which is a shame ...

We had snow in the UK recently and the grand-kids loved snowball fights and snowman building.

    Stay warm

    All the best Jan

    1. Hey Jan, thanks for stopping by. The video is on YouTube also under the same name or you could type in Michael and Carol Blackburn and it should come up as a recent video I posted. When the grandkids were little we would blow the snow from between the house and garage to the back yard into a hugs hill and make a sledding hill for them. My grandson Jacob called it his Penguin Slide and made a sign and everything. They would go across the whole length of the yard and into the woods. Those were fun day.

    1. Hi Sadami, thanks for stopping by. Would love to come visit Australia but I'm afraid I could not do the plane travel for that long. My hips give me pain just riding in the car for a few hours. Went to California and had a 5 hr. plane trip that nearly knocked me off my feet for several days. I have to wait for someone to invent that "Time Travel Machine" then I will visit you. LOL Have a beautiful day!

    1. Hi Eileen, thanks for visiting me virtually. It is so pretty. Now the sides of the road are getting dirty and we are expecting another storm next week to cover that up. LOL Spring is around the corner yet no where in sight. Darn it! Have a great day.

    1. Good day Hilda, yes the snow is so beautiful but for a very short time. Now the roadsides are black with soot from the vehicles and the road itself looks like a beach with so much sand. But wait......we are expecting more snow next week to cover all that up. Hmmmm. Thanks for checking out my video. Stay tuned for the Spring one...that's if Spring shows it's face someday. Have to look on the positive side of this; at least there won't be any dry wells this year with all this melting going on and the mountains will send their wonderful water to us. Have a great weekend.

  7. Amazing, Carol. I have not seen that much snow since we lived in Minot ND 40 years ago!

This month we moved to N Carolina, from Florida, so seeing snow on the ground again, has been quite a culture shock for us. We also had that storm, but only about an inch stuck to the ground, and it was gone by noon. The next day it was 65 degrees! Crazy weather!
